Welcome traveller to the Sands of Time team's Acclaimed Mods list (which we have dubbed "The Ruins".). We are incredibly grateful to the many mod authors listed here as well as their many unique works. This particular area showcases mods that we recommend to use with, or without (though we do prefer with) our Sands of Time mod. (Please note, none of these mods in any way require the Sands of Time to run. Further, the majority of these mods works nicely together to create an unforgiving gaming experience.)

Our list focuses on the darker/grittier, difficulty enhancing mods which is sure to leave your character beaten and bruised beyond anything his poor little self could imagine. The handholding of vanilla Skyrim needs to be done away with and the many authors here have found unique ways in severing that all-helping hand. Our goal of putting this list together is to help like minded players (hopefully) find new mods/authors that they will enjoy and endorse.

As always, if you find a mod on this list that you enjoy using and keep in your current (or future) games, please endorse (or even better, donate to) the mod author to show not only your support, but also your appreciation--a huge compliment to the mod author. (Don't be an ungrateful jerk--no one likes them....and you already have few friends as it is.)
