Criteria: Classic RPG Elements Added, Level of Immersion and Uniqueness.

Guild Starter by Sokco816

What we can we say? Ever imagine your little band of heroes as being a well known guild in Skyrim? We thought so.......you dweeb. With this little addition, you can have an official guild--which can level up too--and it will even receive renown throughout the land. Various holds will favor your guild or hate it, depending on how you run it. You can have a goody-two-shoes band of merry men (which we won't comment on) or a vile, despicable guild of assassins--which is the reason it made our list!

NOTE: The mod is currently in a BETA state, but its current features are fully functional and should be enjoyed by all.

The BlackHorse Courier by sagittarius22

Hear ye' hear ye'! (Ok, we admit that's a bit corny.....but no one asked you. So shut up.) This mod doesn't really make the game more difficult per se, but it adds some very much needed personality to the dreary world. When installed in your game, a news reporter can be found in various inns. You may purchase one of his papers (or subscribe to courier services) which can give details of major events as they unfold (main quest-line being completed) or generic random information that may or may not contain clues for the many mysteries across the map.

Followers as Companions by IsharaMeradin (and co-authored by tonycubed2)

You're lonely, and have no friends; we know. That is why you must rely on virtual friends for company. Well, the followers in Skyrim are more like lemmings and less like a companion. Apparently the Dragonborn walks with his comrades as he walks his dogs: "stay ye' behind me you beta pup! I am the alpha and shall forever be...". This different and unique mod fixes that. Your virtual friends will seem more like a friend (and less like a dog you are walking) while traveling together. It just feels right. Plus, it is co-authored by SoT's designer, tonycubed2 (which may or may not have had something to do with it being placed on our list.)

People Are Strangers by sagittarius22

Are you a psychic? No? Because your character sure is. He knows the name of evey single person throughout the entire province without ever having met any of them--which is total crap. When you are looking for someone, you shouldn't be able to walk in an inn and instantly spot them. It should require a little bit of investigating and questioning. With this mod, finding someone specific will acutally take a bit of time.

OUR RECOMMENDED SETTINGS: There are multiple optional files for this mod; we prefer the "Races" option.

Immersive Player Dialogue by JeremeW5257

Doest thou experience feelings of time-travel when speaking with thine friends and fellow adventurers when thou traverses the bitter lands of olden'? Is it possible thou hast' seen in the dialogue with acquaintances that they speaketh in a crude and futuristic (modern day) manner? Well, that is because they do and this brilliant mod has succeeded in fixing that nonsense. Though a minor alteration, it makes a huge and impressive impact. Truth be told: when loading up a list of mods to test out, which included this one, the changes made felt so organic that we had even forgotten it was there--we highly recommend this mod. It is a true gentleman's mod, and we....are true gentlemen.

Tavern Games - Mini Games in Skyrim by the genius sagittarius22

We had previously featured the "Battle of Heroes" mini card game by sagittarius, stating how amazing it was and how much we loved it. But, it looks like sagittarius was not done! He had one more surprise up his sleeve--a whole slew of new card games! This mod adds a variety of dice and card games which can played at the various inns. This completes the classic "RPG Inn" feel in our opinion and we are in awe at how awesome this is. You will be too.

NOTE: This newer mod does in fact feature the older Battle of Heroes as well.

Dice Game in Taverns by David Brasher

Every fantasy medieval inn needs a dice game. Does your fantasy medieval inn have a dice game? It should. This was the absolute first of its kind (that we know of) in that it offered a small mini game whilst inside a tavern. It's fun. Give it a shot. The only thing you have to lose is gold.

Daggerfall Traits for Skyrim by SpecsWeedle

Anything making Skyrim more like Daggerfall is a good thing, and this little mod does just that. This is a very light mod that gives your character strengths and weaknesses just like in the older Elder Scrolls games. You will get to choose some pretty nice attributes, but you have to even those out by choosing some paralyzing attributes as well. It helps to create a more unique and specialized character as opposed to Skyrim's "master of everything" approach. Thus, it gets our endorsement.

Calling Card Fence Lite by crusader58

Kill someone, leave a signature behind....cool! Thieves and assassins (as well as anyone else with ego problems) should absolutely rejoice at this mod. It allows you leave behind "calling cards" to signify that you were there. Plus, there is a new fence that will buy your stolen goods. (The calling card the mod comes with works great, but you can even create your own and have it shown in game.)

Become a Highwayman by MimiTheAlchemist

"Hand over your valuables, or pay with your life!" Finally! We can make such demands using this mod. You will be presented with the option to attempt to rob a passerby while out on your ventures. Why is such a thing missing from a massive RPG anyway? You can either "be the bandit" or attempt robbery of bandits (like a vigilante sort of character). Of course, if you threaten someone who is much more skilled than you, it might not go so well. Good luck! (Thanks Mimi!)

Become a Beggar by MimiTheAlchemist

Why would you want to become a bard, when you can be a beggar? Now your only aspiration to beg borrow and steal can come true! It is possible now for you too, to be that annoying fellow that bothers the "better than you" well to do businessmen and adventurers for money you don't deserve.

Bloodthirst - Vampire NPCs Can Feed by flexcreator

This makes tagging along with and fighting with vampires more interesting and immersive. Now, Vampire NPCs (as the name suggests) will feed when they feel they can get away with it with little to no risk. Follower NPCs will feed on you, or other nearby NPCs when the mood strikes them, and enemy vampires might take a bite out of you or someone else during battle. It makes the experiences with vampires a tad bit more immersive, and we appreciate that.

The Notice Board by MannyGT

It really does go without saying, if you have been in the Skyrim modding community for any length of time, then you know that anything MannyGT makes is worth looking at. The Notice Board is no exception. This makes radiant quests more immersive and realistic. (It reminds us of the old Quest for Glory series--which is why we love it so much!) You will come across the notice boards throughout the world that tells of current quests that are available. Further, you'll also see other adventurers viewing them as well--this makes it so that it seems others are interested in collecting bounties and rewards too. (It is another awesome mod by an awesome mod author.)
